Betty Greene Deason

Mrs. Betty Greene Deason, 76, of Pageland, South Carolina went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 while surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Betty Greene Deason was born on October 15, 1941 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina to the late John Ellis and Madge Sims Greene. She was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church in Pageland for 55 years. She loved to cook for her family and friends. Mrs. Deason also enjoyed sewing, driving around on her golfcart, and spending time in her garden but Betty's greatest love was the love she had for her family and friends. Those left to celebrate and remember her life include her loving son, Timothy Carroll Deason of the home; daughters, Freda Annette Helms of Pageland, South Carolina, Gwendolyn Yvonne Deason (Jimmy Watts) of Pageland, South Carolina and Greta Lynn Deason (Eddie Funderburk) of Jefferson, South Carolina; brother, John Roger Greene of Pageland, South Carolina; nine grandchildren, Chantele Deese, Clayton Helms, Cassie Oxford, William Watts, Autumn Watts, Matthew Richardson, Summer Richardson, Nick Funderburk, and Tiffany Funderburk; fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Smyrna Baptist Church in Pageland with Pastor Pete Gregory and Pastor Mack Mullis officiating. The burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friend from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Baumgartner Funeral Home, 708 West McGregor Street, Pageland, South Carolina 29728. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Smyrna Baptist Church, 841 Smyrna Church Road, Pageland, South Carolina 29728.
