Mr. Bruce Atkinson, 78, of Pageland, SC passed away on Friday, June 1, 2012. Mr. Atkinson is the son of the late Clayton Alexander and Etta Jordan Atkinson. Mr. Atkinson was in the 33rd Infantry in the United States Army serving in Panama. He was predeceased by his daughter, Rhonda Atkinson Thomas and brother, Lee Atkinson. Mr. Atkinson is survived by his wife, Geraldine Atkinson of Pageland, SC; sons, Rick Atkinson (Kathy) of Pageland, SC, Randy Atkinson (Eileen) of Pageland, SC; son-in-law, Jimmy Thomas Jr. of Camden, SC; brothers, Drew Atkinson (Mary) of Pageland, SC, Coyt Atkinson (Kathy) of Wesley Chapel, NC; grandchildren, Brandon Atkinson of Pageland, SC, Leigh Anne Thomas of Miami, FL, Brianne Atkinson of Pageland, SC, Daniel Atkinson of Pageland, SC, Stephen Atkinson of Pageland, SC, Jonathan Atkinson of Pageland, SC, Whitney Atkinson of Pageland, SC , David Atkinson of Pageland, SC; and great grandson, Carson Atkinson of Pageland, SC. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 - 3 PM Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Zion Hall.
