Helen Smith

August 28, 1924 - January 26, 2011

Helen Jackson Smith 86, of Pageland, SC passed away at Lake Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Indian Trail, NC following an extended illness. She was born in Pageland, SC to the late Frank and Mamie Jackson. Her entire life was spent in Pageland. She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Smith, brothers King, Drew, Harry, Charlie and sister, Annie Lee Jackson. She survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Smith was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Pageland. A lot of her church work was with youth and seniors citizens. She was a member of Win-Some Sunday School Class and the order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Smith and her husband owned & operated CE Smith Oil Company in Pageland for many years. At the time of her death, she was President and CEO of CE Smith Rentals Inc. and HJS Management Inc. Until the last year of her life she was involved in her companies’ business operations. The family wished to thank all of the employees of Spring Hill Assisted Living and Lake Park for the excellent care she received during her illness. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Pageland in the Fellowship Hall.
