Pageland, SC - Janice Pigg Demby, 84, of Pageland, SC passed away on June 7, 2012 under the loving care of Hospice of Union County and her family. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Zion United Methodist Church with interment following in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held at Sutton-Baumgartner Funeral Home on Friday, June 8, 2012 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Mrs. Demby was the daughter of the late Raymond and Allie Sanders Pigg. She was also predeceased by her husband of 46 years Floyd Demby in 2003, brothers-in-law, Emmett Demby, Parnell Demby, Jimmy Laney, Alvin Leaird, Cecil Jenkins and sisters-in-law, Bessie Demby, Lib Demby, Mary Helen Jenkins. Mrs. Demby is survived by her son, Rodney Demby (Karen) of Matthews, NC; brother-in-law, Claude Demby of Pageland, SC; sisters-in-law, Peggy Demby of Pageland, SC, Betty Jo Leaird of Pageland, SC, Doris Laney of Pageland, SC, many nieces and nephews. She was a Sunday School Teacher at Zion United Methodist Church for about 40 years, where she attended church.
