Marjorie Lowery

Mrs. Marjorie "Margie" Horne Lowery, 91, of Pageland, SC passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 in Lancaster, SC with her family by her side. Mrs. Marjorie Lowery was born on May 15, 1928 in Jefferson, SC to the late Frank Horne and Mary Etta Knight Horne. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Colson Horne and Marion Horne; sisters, Ruth Knight, Doris Henry and Dorothy Henry and nephew, Rev. Randell Knight. Mrs. Lowery was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church in Jefferson, SC. She was a volunteer for the Federation of the Blind in Chesterfield County. Marjorie loved to be a caretaker for people and loved to spend time with her loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchild. Mrs. Lowery is survived by her sons, Bill Snow (Debbie) of Jacksonville, FL and Donald Wallace (Priscilla) of Indian Trail, NC; daughters, Jerri W. Bowers (Omer) of Heath Springs, SC and Shirley W. Brown (Freddie) of Conway, SC; grandchildren, Natalie, Brian, Derrick, Christina, Timmy, Kelli, Kim, Keith, Benji, and Zack; seventeen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; sweet niece and caregiver, Catherine Sistare of Pageland, SC and caregiver, Betty Plyler of Jefferson, SC. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church, 1852 Peach Orchard Road, Jefferson, SC 29718. The family will greet friends on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church in Jefferson, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, C/O Margaret Simpson, 2567 Johnson Road, Jefferson, SC 29718 or National Federation of the Blind, 200 East Wells Street at Jernigan Place, Baltimore, Maryland 21230.
