Martha S. Clark

August 19, 1927 - September 13, 2020

Mrs. Martha Smith Clark, 93, of Pageland, SC passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020 in Lancaster, SC. Mrs. Martha Smith Clark was born on August 19, 1927 in Monroe, North Carolina to the late James Osmond Smith and Edna Bell Pigg Smith. She is predeceased by her husband, Horace Neil Clark; brothers, Carl Smith, George Smith, Don Smith, Harold Smith, Neil Smith, James "Pap" Smith, and Sam Smith and sisters, Mable Webb and Anna Lou Helton. Mrs. Clark was a member of First Baptist Church of Pageland, where she was also a member of the Winsom Sunday School Class. She always enjoyed cooking, cleaning and going shopping. She was always cooking for other people. She would take food to Gwen's Hair Salon to share with all the ladies. Mrs. Clark enjoyed decorating for Christmas, she even made a Santa for her front yard. Everyone in the area enjoyed driving by her house to admire her decorations. Mrs. Clark is survived by her sons, Chuck Clark (Teresa) of Pageland, SC, Steve Clark (Fran) of Simpsonville, SC and Mark Clark (Lou Anne) of Concord NC; daughter, Dawn Graves (Rodney) of Spartanburg, SC; sister Cat Robertson of Pageland, SC; special sister in-law, Bonnie Smith, of Pageland, SC; grandchildren, Bryant Clark, Jarrod Clark, Elizabeth Turner, Martha Hendrix, Reaves Pinson, Sarah McCleod, Anna Fickey, Chip Clark, Mollie Clark, Clark Graves, Luke Graves, Lanie Graves; great grandchildren, Holden Starling, Reed Starling, Noah Hall, Bryleigh Clark, Anne Hollis Pinson, Sam Pinson, Guy Hendrix, Mary Alice Hendrix, Charlotte McCleod, Claire McCleod, Annie James Fickey, Fields Fickey, Mac Clark, and Hayes Clark. Anyone can come by the funeral home Tuesday, September 15, 2020 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM to pay their respects and sign the register book. There will be a Celebration of Life Graveside Service at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland with Dr. Joel Dale officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Pageland, PO Box 126, Pageland, SC 29728 or Parkinson's Foundation, 2101 Sardis Road North, Box 15, Charlotte, NC 28227.
