Mr. Archie Benton Baker, 88, of Pageland, SC passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020 at his home. Mr. Archie Baker was born on January 2, 1932 in Monroe, North Carolina to the late William David Baker and Zettie Deese Baker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred McCray Baker, five brothers, and four sisters. Mr. Baker was a member of Wolf Pond Baptist Church in Pageland, SC. He served on the High Point Fire Department for over 20 years, and served as Chief for 10 to 15 years. Mr. Baker owned and operated Baker's Body Shop and Wrecker Service and enjoyed farming for the last 15 years of his life. Mr. Baker is survived by his son, Thomas A. Baker of Pageland, SC and his brothers, B.F. Baker of Pageland, SC and Joe Baker of Monroe, NC. The family will have a private graveside service.
