Arrit James Laney Sr., 70, of Lancaster, SC passed away July 22, 2026. Mr. Laney was born in Lancaster, SC on February 7, 1956 to the late Jerry Laney and Janie Faulkenberry-Daniels.

No services will be held at this time.

Those left to cherish his memory are his spouse, Kimberly Laney; children, Crystal Garcia (Jose), Lonnie Laney (Alicia), David Laney, Michael Laney, Billy Laney (Kayla), Arrit “Bug” Laney Jr. (Michelle), Christopher Laney (Melissa), Lane L, Bobby Gulledge (Barbara), Kristie Humphries (JoJo); step children, Joshua Rainy, Nautika Canady, Alexis Canady, Scott Truesdale, Tiffany Truesdale; siblings, Debbie Sowell, and Arnold Laney; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in passing by his daughter, Karen Gulledge; and siblings, Tim Laney, Larry Laney, and Tracy Laney.
