Mrs. Avaria "Pete" Leaird Brock, 88, of Pageland, South Carolina passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. Pete was born on June 19, 1929 in Pageland, South Carolina to the late Jessie and Bertha Jordan Leaird. She later met and united in marriage to the late Hermas Frank Brock. In addition to her parents, Pete is preceded in death by brothers, Jimmy Leaird, Tom Leaird, and Alvin Leaird; half-brothers, Cyrus Leaird and Myron Leaird; sisters, Eloise Jordan and Aileen Jordan; half-sister, Mozelle Tadlock. Those left to celebrate and remember her life include her loving son, Tony Brock (Janice) of Pageland, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Sacha Galloway (Ryan) of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Hayley Helms (Tim) of Ruby, South Carolina; and four great-grandchildren, Gatlin Deese of Ruby, South Carolina, McKinleigh Deese of Ruby, South Carolina, Eden Deese of Ruby, South Carolina, and Chloe Galloway of Fayetteville, North Carolina. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, January 12, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Pageland with Dr. Joel Dale officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service on Friday, January 12, 2018 in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church of Pageland.
