Mrs. Barbara Jean Rape Plyler, 72, of Pageland, SC went to be with her Lord on Monday, January 31, 2022. Mrs. Plyler was born on March 13, 1949 to the late Pete Rape and Gladys Rape. She later met and united in marriage to Billy Roscoe Plyler. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Mrs. Plyler worked for Conbraco and CHESCO in which she retired from. She is preceded in death by her sister, Edith Sweatt and brother, Parley Rape. Mrs. Plyler is survived by her loving husband, Billy Roscoe Plyler of the home; sons, Brian Plyler (Pamela) of Ruby, SC and Jeffery Channing Plyler (Angela "Sissy") of Pageland, SC; daughter, Jennifer Stancil (Mike) of Oakboro, NC; brothers, Dennis Rape (Janet) of Monroe, NC and Joe Rape (Peggy) of Monroe, NC; sisters, Katherine Arant (Billy Ray) of Pageland, SC, Patsy Mangum (Ronnie) of Monroe, NC, Vickie Greene, Lori Kopplin and Lisa Baucom all of Monroe, NC, grandchildren, Joshua Plyler (Kristen), Jacob Plyler (Jessica), Joey Plyler, Carley Stancil and Landry Stancil, great grandchildren, Emma Grace Plyler and her fur baby, Bessie. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Mt Pisgah Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Mt Pisgah Baptist Church with Pastor Joey Rowell and Pastor Mark Evans officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 7723 Pageland Hwy, Monroe, NC 28112.
