Betty Jean Sullivan Doster, affectionately known as Betty to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2025, at the age of 87 at McWhorter House Hospice in Monroe, North Carolina. She was born on April 16, 1937, to the late Harley W. Sullivan and Elease Graves Sullivan. Betty was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Corbet Doster, brother, Ray Sullivan and sister-in-law Joyce Sullivan.

Family was the cornerstone of Betty's world. She is survived by her devoted son, Mike Doster (Beth) of Lancaster, SC; her loving daughter, Pam Rivers (Eddie) of Wingate, NC; and her caring brother, Benny Sullivan (Brenda) of Pageland, SC. Betty was a proud grandmother to Kevin Doster (Morgan) of Inman, SC, Jacob Doster (Kinsey) of Rock Hill, SC, Kimberly Rivers (Jared Stever) of Redmond, OR, and Katie Rivers (Brandon Falada) of Fuquay-Varina, NC. Her joy was multiplied with the arrival of her great-grandchildren, Charlie Doster, Kennedy Doster, and Luke Doster.

She spent many years taking care of all four grandchildren. They all have many happy and fun memories of that time. Betty also loved gardening and helping her brother Benny with his harvest over the years. She used his abundant zucchini to bake bread to give to anyone who stopped by.

Betty's loving nature was matched by her passionate spirit and deep faith. She lived her life as a shining example of kindness and devotion, always putting others before herself. She was a long time member of High Point Baptist Church. Her faith was a guiding light, providing strength and comfort throughout her life's journey.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM at High Point Baptist Church Family Life Center.

There will be a Celebration of Life Graveside Service on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 11:00 AM at High Point Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Pegram officiating.
