Mrs. Betty F. Hicks, 83, of Pageland, SC passed away on Friday, September 13, 2013 under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Union County. Mrs. Hicks was born in Union County, North Carolina to the late Benjamin Travis and Aletha Funderburk. She was united in marriage to Charles Lee Hicks Jr., who predeceased her. They intern had a Daughter, Joyce Lear who also predeceased her. Mrs. Hicks was a member of High Point Baptist Church and a loyal employee of Sacony Textile Mill located in Pageland. Mrs. Hicks was survived by a Son, Billy L. Hicks of Easley, SC and a Daughter, Margie H. Nicholson of Pageland, SC, Six Grandchildren and Six Great Grandchildren. In addition to the loss of her Husband and Daughter, Mrs. Hicks also was predeceased by a Sister, Dorothy Hicks, Brother, Alvin Funderburk and her Granddaughter, Sissy Nicholson. . Visitation will be held at Baumgarter Funeral Home on Sunday, September 15, 2013 from 6 to 8 pm. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held Monday, September 16, 2013 at 11:00 am at High Point Baptist Church in Pageland, SC.
