Mr. Bill J. Hunter, 74, of Jefferson, South Carolina passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 surrounded by his loving family and while under the care of Hospice of Chesterfield County.
Bill was born on August 5, 1943 in Jefferson, South Carolina to the late William Spofford Hunter and Blanche Horton Hunter. He later met and united in marriage to Mrs. Lottie Hunter. Bill liked to watch westerns, fishing, he also enjoyed piddling, and he especially liked to build birdhouses. He never missed one of his grandchildren's events and family was his number one priority. He loved them with all his heart. Bill was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church and attended Beulah Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his brothers, Grady Hunter, Lewis Hunter, Kenneth Hunter and Dale Hunter also his sisters, Ruby Leaird and Margie Gordon.
Those left to celebrate and remember his life include his loving wife, Lottie Hunter of Jefferson, South Carolina; daughter, Tammy Usher (David) of Jefferson, South Carolina; son, William Brian Hunter (Julie) of Monroe, North Carolina; brother, Reecie Hunter (Marsha) of Pageland, South Carolina; sisters, Sarah Price of Kershaw, South Carolina and Peggy Williams of Pageland, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Maegan Usher, William Brian Hunter Jr., Peyton Usher and Seth Hunter; also one great-grandchild, Banks Allen.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Beulah Presbyterian Church with Dr. Anne Hilborn officiating.
The family will receive friends following the Memorial Service in the Fellowship Hall of Beulah Presbyterian Church, 8305 Landsford Road, Monroe, North Carolina 28112.
In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to Hospice of Chesterfield County, PO Box 293, Chesterfield, South Carolina 29709 or to the Family's Expenses, 529 Carley Circle, Jefferson, South Carolina 29718.
