Born on March 31, 1933, in Dillon, South Carolina to the late Wheeler Hayes and Lilly Price Hayes. Boyd was a man whose life was characterized by devotion to his family, his country, and his faith. Boyd's early years in Dillon laid a strong foundation for his values and work ethic.
