Catherine Weeks Carter, 95, of Charlotte, NC formerly of Pageland, SC passed away on November 12, 2025 in Charlotte, NC. She was born on January 27, 1930 in Pageland, SC to the late William Elijah Weeks and Josephine Small Weeks.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, James E. Carter, Jr., her brother, Billy Joe Weeks, and her nephew, William Richard Mills. She is survived by her sons, William Carter and wife, Sharon and Mark Carter both of Charlotte, NC; her sister, Betty Mills Owens of Marshville, NC; nephew, Joel Thomas Mills and wife, Nina of Travelers Rest, SC; her nieces, Catherine Mills Smith and husband, Keith of Wingate, NC and Anne Mills Brown and husband, Cleve of Belton, SC; her nephew, Timothy Weeks Mills of Pageland, SC. Catherine's life was further enriched by the joy and laughter of many great-nieces and nephews.

Catherine's professional life was marked by her unwavering commitment to customer service. In retirement, she was an avid reader finding joy and adventure within the pages of her favorite books. Her love for her family was paramount, and she relished in staying abreast of their lives and accomplishments. Her home was her sanctuary, where she took great pride in maintaining a warm and welcoming environment. In her younger days, she enjoyed tending to her garden. She never lost interest in gardening. Those who knew her recognized her kindness and compassion.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 13, 2025 in the Sanctuary of Pageland United Methodist Church.

There will be a Celebration of Life Funeral Service on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Pageland United Methodist Church with Pastor Patricia Bowman officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pageland, SC.
