Corinne Ryan
Middleton
Nov 2, 1943 — Sep 20, 2025
Corinne Ryan Middleton, 81, of Jefferson, SC passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn Stewart Ryan and Robert A. Ryan Jr., as well as her brother, Robert A. Ryan, III.
Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Corinne graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1965 with a degree in French. Following her passion for travel, she embarked on a distinguished career as a flight attendant, serving 26 years with Pan Am and 10 years with Delta Airlines.
In Miami, Florida, Corinne met the love of her life, Lennie S. Middleton, through mutual friends. United by their shared passion for sailing, they married on May 9, 1986, and built a life full of adventure and companionship.
Corinne embraced traveling not only as her career but also as her favorite pastime. She enjoyed gardening, cheering for her favorite football teams, spending time at Pawleys Island, and faithfully following Fox News.
She is survived by her beloved nieces and nephews, all of whom she treated like her own grandchildren: Rusty (Kelly) Miller of Jefferson, SC; Ricky (Debbie) Rollins of Mt. Pleasant, SC; Ceil (Dave) Murphy of Marietta, GA; and Phil (Teresa) Rollins of Jefferson, SC. She also leaves behind numerous great-nieces and nephews and one great-great-niece.
Corinne held a special bond with her cousins, Janie (Benny) Howard of Theodore, Alabama; June (Brandon)Janes of Austin, Texas; Mary Beth Dowden of Russellville, Kentucky; and Lydia (Scott) Lundgren of Charlotte, NC. She also treasured the lifelong friendships of Nancy and Billy at Condoworld in Pawleys Island; J. Buck and Martha Hayes; Coach Johnny and Jane Roscoe; Paul and Barbara Knight; Roger and Janit Smith; Todd Myers; Anne Moore; Chad Deason; Kevin Middleton; and Stephen Johnson, all of whom she credited with "making her life better."
Those who knew Corinne knew her heart was especially tender toward her "fur babies." She leaves behind her cherished companions: Kooka, her Australian Cattle Dog; Gretel, her "high society" mix breed; and her three cats, Maddie, Oracle, and Magic.
