Mr. Craven A. Hurst, Jr., 63, of Pageland, SC, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Atrium Health-Union in Monroe, NC. Mr. Craven Hurst was born on November 16, 1957 in Monroe, NC to the late Craven A. Hurst Sr. and Sylvia Faye Gulledge Hurst. Mr. Craven Hurst was a loving devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather. Craven was a beloved Paw Paw to his special granddaughter, Kayleigh "BooBoo" Kintner. Craven was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Monroe, NC. He was a Christian man who loved hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. In his earlier days, he loved to sing in the choir and was a choir director. He enjoyed doing woodworking and liked to watch wrestling. Craven is survived by his wife of ten years, Catherine Elaine Boone Hurst of Pageland, SC; son, Clinton Hurst (Kassy) of Pageland, SC; step sons, Christopher Jordan (Brandy) of Pageland, SC, Scott Jordan (Amelia) of Florence, AL and Chuck McLeod (Shannon) of Washington, DC; step daughter, Angel Kintner of Pageland, SC; sisters, Debbie Hurst Mullis (Bobby) of Pageland, SC, Barbara Hurst Price (Jackie) of Marshville, NC and Tammy Hurst Springs of Pageland, SC; seven grandchildren; special granddaughter, Kayleigh "BooBoo" Kintner and nephew, Hunter Traywick (Whitney) of Marshville, NC.
