Mr. Danny Wayne Gaddy, 71, of Pageland, South Carolina passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 surrounded by his loving family and while under the care of Hospice. Danny was born on October 9, 1946 in Pageland, South Carolina to the late Clarence and Laura Jackson. Danny grew up in the Pageland Community and later graduated from Wake Forest University where he became a teacher and taught for over 20 years. He loved math and geometry and was working on a theory of Pi. He was also a member of the Mensa Society. In his spare time, Danny enjoyed writing songs, as well as, writing poetry. In addition to his parents, Danny is preceded in death by two sisters, Sylvia Jackson and Leona Rivers. Those left to celebrate and remember his life include his life partner, Ramona Boykin of Pageland, South Carolina; brothers, Donald Gaddy of Pageland, South Carolina and James Gaddy of Wingate, North Carolina; Special Nephew, Tim Gaddy of Marshville, North Carolina; Friend since college, Doug Reinhardt of Statesville, North Carolina; also numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Baumgartner Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Center Grove Baptist Church in Mt. Croghan, South Carolina. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Baumgartner Funeral Home, 708 West McGregor Street, Pageland, South Carolina 29728.
