Deanna Marie McRorie, 54, of Pageland, SC passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. She was born on March 4, 1970, in Chesterfield, South Carolina, to Margie Wilkerson Lane and the late Dean Martin Woodward.
Her role as a mother was one of Deanna's greatest joys. She and her husband of 37 years, Bo McRorie, raised two daughters, Stephanie Marie McClain (Dustin) of Hartsville, SC and Heather Nicole McRorie of Columbia, SC. Deanna's love extended to her mother, Margie Wilkerson Lane of Summerton, SC, and her sister, Michelle Gainey (Weldon) of Ruby, SC. She was a cherished member of the McRorie family, beloved by her in-laws, George Baxter McRorie and Roxie Ann McRorie of South Carolina.
Deanna's heart was truly fulfilled with the birth of her grandchildren, Asher Wade McClain and Aiden "Bubba" Rorie McClain. She embraced her role as a grandmother with open arms, and her grandchildren will forever treasure the moments spent in her loving embrace. Her niece and nephews, Caleb Michael Gainey and Carolina Michelle Gainey both of Ruby, SC.
Deanna was a respected account executive at C&M Construction of Pageland, Inc. Her dedication, work ethic, and the positive atmosphere showed the type of person she was. Deanna's involvement in her community was marked by her commitment to her church, where she served with a faithful heart.
Deanna's interests were a reflection of her vibrant personality. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter who cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. An avid Clemson fan, Deanna's enthusiasm for her team was infectious. Her love for camping allowed her to create unforgettable memories with her loved ones amidst the beauty of nature.
A culinary enthusiast, Deanna's kitchen was a place of joy and creativity. Her love for cooking was only matched by her passion for sharing meals with her family and friends. Deanna was also known for her savvy shopping skills; and the ability to give the best presents.
Deanna's ability to fix anything earned her the reputation of being a jack of all trades. Her hands were skilled, and her willingness to help others knew no bounds. She was always the first to think of others before herself, a trait that endeared her to many.
There will be a Celebration of Life Funeral Service on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Kelleytown Baptist Church, Hartsville, SC with Rev. Michael Madaris officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service.
