Mrs. Debra "Debbi" Blackman Hunter, 64, of Pageland, SC passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at her home in Pageland, SC while under the care of Hospice and surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Hunter was born on November 13, 1957 in Whiteville, NC to the late Edwin Blackman and Betty Spivey Blackman. Mrs. Hunter was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church, where she shared her love for Christ by serving as the Music Director, a Sunday School Teacher, a Youth Leader, the Special Programs Director and a Soloist. Debbi was a Children's Music Leader and worked tirelessly with them in the Vacation Bible School. She served her community and others by being a loving and humble caregiver, where she prayed for patients and shared Jesus with them on a daily basis. Debbi was a beautiful artist and has many paintings to her credit. She loved all animals, especially spending time with her horses. She loved to spend time with her husband riding motorcycles and spending time with all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hunter is survived by her husband, William "Turkey" Hunter of 34 years of Pageland, SC; daughters, Melanie Yeager (Tim) of Neosho, MO and Tiffany Ervin of Fairmont, NC; sons, Brooks Tarte (Chelsea) of Norwood, NC and Wil Hunter (Cristy) of Jefferson, SC; brother, Ricky Blackman (Stephanie) of Rock Hill, SC; sisters, Teresa Blackman of Charleston, SC and Christa Barfield (Jeremiah) of Lake View, SC; six grandchildren, Brooklyn Tarte, Malia Tarte, Abby Hunter, Jasper Hunter, Ryder Hunter and Cannon Hunter and two great-grandchildren, Aubri Tarte and Emory Scott. Friends are welcome to visit Baumgartner Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM to sign the register book and pay their respects. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Five Forks Cemetery in Pageland, SC with Pastor Robin Hewitt officiating. Burial will follow at Five Forks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Five Forks Cemetery Association, 605 W. McGregor St., Pageland, SC 29728.
