Mr. Dennis James Lee, 64, of Pageland, SC passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 in Monroe, NC. Mr. Dennis Lee was born on June 1, 1956 in Monroe, North Carolina to the late Layven Lee and Lois Griffin Lee. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Robert (Bob) Lee and Larry Lee and sisters, Jean Jenkins and Elizabeth (Lib) Starnes. Mr. Lee was a member of Beulah Presbyterian Church in Monroe, NC. He enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle until his health declined. Mr. Lee enjoyed NASCAR and drag racing. He loved children especially his great nephews and nieces. He loved the children at Mrs. Betty's Daycare where he ate lunch everyday after becoming disabled. He taught the children to count and their colors with M & M's. They all loved "Dink". Mr. Lee is survived by his sisters, Betty Griffin (Milton), Lottie Hunter and Marsha Hunter (Reecie) all of Pageland, SC and Ruth Lee (Chuck) of Indian Trail, NC and brothers, Charles Lee of Wingate, NC and Harry Lee of Charlotte, NC. A memorial service will be held at Beulah Presbyterian Church, 8305 Landsford Road, Monroe, NC conducted by the Rev. Hunter Roddey. Family and friends are welcome to attend the 11:00 worship service. The memorial service will follow in the church cemetery (approximately 12:15 PM) COVID-19 protocol recommend. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beulah Presbyterian Church, 8305 Landsford Road, Monroe, NC 28112.
