Donald Mickey Holley, 69, God I celebrate that today is a new day! All the struggles of yesterday are behind me, and your grace is sufficient for me. Mickey was born September 2, 1948 in Monroe, North Carolina to Dossie Dwight Holley and Jeanette Price Holley. He spent a majority of his life in the construction business for 20 years. Mickey also worked for Monroe Metal and C.M. Tucker Lumber for several years where he was a supervisor at one time. In his free time, Mickey enjoyed to fish, fellowship with friends in town, as well as, attending and watching his kids compete in karate tournaments. He is survived by his best friend and wife, Clida Portman Holley, two sons that have made him proud every day of their lives, Micah Shane Holley of Austin Texas and Mark Scott Holley of Pageland, South Carolina, granddaughter who was the apple of her grandfather's eye, K'La Scott Holley of Pageland, South Carolina, special daughter-in-law, Brandy Edwards, predeceased by brothers, James Holley and Buddy Holley, predeceased by sister, Sybil Griffin, he is also survived by, sisters, Doris Bratsos of Pageland, South Carolina and Judy Gulledge of Pageland, South Carolina, sister-in-law, Joyce Holley, also numerous nieces and nephews that Mickey loved dearly. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Baumgartner Funeral Home, 708 West McGregor Street, Pageland, South Carolina 29728. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clida Holley, 629 Lighthouse Church Road, Pageland, South Carolina 29728 to help with funeral expenses.
