Mr. Donald Ray Thompson, 62, of Pageland, South Carolina went to be with his Lord on April 4, 2017. Donald was born on August 30, 1954 in Union County to the late Pearl and Thelma Donahue Thompson. In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded by a brother, Melvin Thompson. Those left to celebrate and remember his life include his loving sons, Greg Thompson (Cindy) of Kannapolis, North Carolina and Donald Thompson (Sharon) of Pageland, South Carolina, daughter, Amanda Smith (Brian) of Oklahoma, brother, Pearl Thompson Jr. (Linda) of Lancaster, South Carolina, sisters, Shirley Griffin (Gene) of Pageland, South Carolina, Sylvia Cook (Steve) of Lancaster, South Carolina and Betty Boling of Pageland, South Carolina, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 2:00-3:00 PM at Baumgartner Funeral Home. There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Baumgartner Funeral Home.
