Mrs. Edith Berry Phillips, 93, of Pageland, SC passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022 in Concord, NC while under the care of Hospice and surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Phillips was born on June 30, 1929 in Grovetown, GA to the late George Washington and Grace Banks Berry. Everyone who knew Edith felt her kind and caring spirit. She was a huge fan of all sports, especially Clemson Tiger Football. She loved her family, friends and church family. She graduated from Tubman High School in Augusta, GA and attended business school and retired from SLS Corporation as a payroll clerk. She is predeceased by her husband, Jackie Rodgers Phillips; sisters, Jean Videtto and Ethel Brizzolara and brothers, Milton Berry and George Berry. Mrs. Phillips is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline (Norman) Ellis of Clemson, SC and Elizabeth (Jim) Safrit of Concord, NC; grandchildren, Julianna Ellis (Aaron Chapman) and Virginia (Alex) Hintz; brother, Frank (Gloria) Berry of North Augusta, SC and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends following the Graveside Service. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Zion United Methodist Church in Pageland, SC with Rev. Paul Smith officiating.
