Mr. Edwin W. Jenkins, 80, of Pageland, South Carolina went to be with his Lord on Saturday, November 19, 2016 while surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Hospice of Chesterfield County. Mr. Jenkins was born on July 8, 1936 in Pageland, South Carolina to the late Watt Jenkins and Lizzie Hicks. He later met and united in marriage to Lorraine Thomas. He was a retired front end loader operator for Old Castle in Pageland and also loved tractors and farming. He was a member of High Point Baptist Church in Pageland, South Carolina and was an avid South Carolina Gamecocks and Carolina Panthers fan. Besides football, he enjoyed watching NASCAR and his favorite car was any type of Chevrolet. He is preceded in death by his Brothers, Sandy Jenkins, Oscar Jenkins, Cleveland Jenkins, Jack Jenkins, Alfred Jenkins, Cecil Jenkins and Sisters, Sadie Griffin, Dee Woodside, Thurnie Griffin and Maude Gaddy. Mr. Edwin Jenkins is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lorraine Jenkins of Pageland, South Carolina, two Sons, Gerald Jenkins and Brad Jenkins both of Pageland, South Carolina and numerous Nieces and Nephews. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at High Point Baptist Church in Pageland, South Carolina with Pastor Rodney Nicholson officiating. Burial will follow at High Point Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Baumgartner Funeral Home in Pageland, South Carolina.
