Mrs. Elsie Clark Evans, 75, of Pageland, South Carolina went to be with her Lord on Thursday, June 1, 2017 while surrounded by her loving family and while under the care of Hospice of South Carolina. Elsie was born in Chesterfield County on March 9, 1942 to the late William Leroy Clark and Evelyn Sikes Clark. She grew up in the Pageland Community where she later met and united in marriage to her husband of 58 years Mr. Ted Evans. Elsie also spent her time giving back to the Pageland Community by working as a teacher's assistant for 32 years at Petersburg Elementary School along with helping out with the First Steps. She was also a charter member of "Blessings in a backpack". She enjoyed shopping, going out to eat, watching Nascar, spending time with her grandchildren, as well as traveling especially going on cruises which she thoroughly enjoyed. Elsie was also a member of First Presbyterian Church of Pageland. Those left to celebrate and remember her life include her loving husband, Ted Evans of Pageland, South Carolina, son, Jason Evans (Erin) of Pageland, South Carolina, daughters, Rochelle Bess (Mark) of Pageland, South Carolina and Belinda Sinclair of Pageland, South Carolina, sister, Sue Mills (Tim) of Jefferson, South Carolina, grandchildren, Melissa Bess, Emily Bess, Garrett Sinclair, Leah Sinclair, Payton Evans and Chandler Evans and one great-grandchild, Jaleigh Sinclair. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church of Pageland with Dr. Joel Dale officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Baumgartner Funeral Home of Pageland, 708 West McGregor Street, Pageland, South Carolina 29728.
