Frankie Gayle Teal Mills, 81, of Pageland, SC passed away on September 25, 2024, in Charlotte, NC. She was born on August 4, 1943 in Morven, NC to the late William Thomas Teal and Rosa Lee Parker. She was also predeceased by her husband, Charlie Mills and her son, Billy Ray Morton.

Family was the cornerstone of Frankie's life. She was a devoted mother to her children, Joann M. Groves (John) of Peachland, NC, Bobby Ray "Buck" Morton (Sherry) of Marshville, NC, Robin Morton (Fuller Locklear) of Maxton, NC, Angela M. Baker (Roy Bryant) of Pageland, SC, and Maria M. Thomas (Scott) of Marshville, NC.

Frankie was a cherished sister to William T. Teal Jr. (Kathy) of Concord, NC, E. E. David Teal (Jean) of Kannapolis, NC, and Judy T. Jones of Maxton, NC. Frankie's role as a grandmother was one she embraced with joy and pride. Her grandchildren, Paul Groves, Wil Groves, Celeste Morrison (Trent), Matt Hyatt, Chasitee Hunt, Kandice Locklear (Joshua), Shyan Scott, Josh Laney, Amaris Nelson (Max), D.J. Baker (Tiffani), Chris Thomas (Sharonda), Steven Thomas (Jalicia), and Michael Morton and numerous great grandchildren were the light of her life.

Frankie's interests were a reflection of her vibrant personality. She found solace in the tranquility of her garden, tending to her plants with the same care and attention she gave to her students and family. She was a devoted member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. The love for her church was evident in her dedication to helping with the children's church and as a Sunday School Teacher, where she was a guiding light to many young souls. Frankie's spirited outings to Bojangles and Gwen's were filled with laughter and camaraderie, a testament to her ability to find joy in the simple pleasures of life.

Those who knew Frankie will remember her as a woman of great love and faith. Her spirit was a beacon that drew people in and made them feel at home. Her unwavering positivity and zest for life were contagious, inspiring all who crossed her path.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM on Monday, September 30, 2024 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. There will be a Celebration of Life Funeral Service on Monday September 30, 2024 at 1:30 PM at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with Dr. Mel Winstead officiating.
