Garland "Mann" Eubanks, 89, of Jefferson, South Carolina went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Atrium Health, Monroe NC.
Garland was born in Jefferson, SC to the late Tay Eubanks and Lena Boone Eubanks. He was later joined in marriage to his bride for 65 years, Lucy Margaret Knight Eubanks. Lucy Margaret's and Garland's many years of peaceful marriage provided an excellent example for others to follow. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Jefferson, SC.
Garland retired from Cato-Knit after 42 years of service. He was a third-shift supervisor and worked with many team members to teach them how to work efficiently and earn a good living. In addition to working third-shift at Caro-Knit as a supervisor, Garland was also a dedicated crop/cattle farmer for his entire life. He discontinued crop farming in his later retirement years, but continued to manage a cattle farm up until weeks before his passing. He is preceded in death by father, Tay Eubanks; his mother, Lena Boone Eubanks; step-mother, Eva Eubanks; sister, Jennie Lee Eubanks Geiger; brother, Gooch Eubanks; niece, Dayna Geiger McCray and brother-in-law, Bob Hays.
Mr. Eubanks is survived by his loving wife, Lucy Margaret; daughter, Pennie Oliver (Scott); grandsons, Seth and Brandon Oliver; granddaughter, April Brewer (Cory) and great-grandchildren, Madison and Preston Brewer. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, La Rose Knight Hays; nephew, Tim Hays (Mary); honorary grandson, Riggs Hays and nieces, Tiffany Hays and Myra Hancock Leaird.
There will be a Celebration of Life Funeral Service on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church, Jefferson, SC with Pastor Curtis Laney and Pastor Tim Williams. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church, Jefferson, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Bethel Baptist Church, 11078 HWY 151, Jefferson, SC 29718.
