Mr. Edward Gary Miller, 84, of Pageland, SC passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 with his loving family by his side. Mr. Miller was born on May 31, 1938 in Charlotte, NC to the late Grover Bill Miller and Sarah Simpson Miller. He later met and united in marriage to Betty Miller. Mr. Miller served in the United States Navy. He worked for over 50 years as an electrician. Mr. Miller was a member of High Point Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday School Teacher, member in the Choir and volunteered with the Youth and Vacation Bible School. He loved being outdoors and had a passion for planting a garden. Mr. Miller is survived by his wife of 33 years, Betty McManus Miller of the home; sons, Edward Miller of Monroe, NC and Ricky Courtney of Pageland, SC; daughters, Sarah Kraus (Buddy) of Mineral Springs, NC and Janet Williams (Tim) of Fort Payne, AL; grandchildren, Kathy, Crystan, Micah Davis, Brandon Davis, Kaylie Miller, Trent Courtney and Grant Downen; eight great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Roger McManus; sister-in-law, Denise Mullinix (Ja); special nephews, John Mullinix and Jesse Mullinix and nine special nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Baumgartner Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be at 3:00 PM on Friday, March 10, 2023 at High Point Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby Pegram and Pastor Rodney Nicholson officiating.
