Obituary

Mrs. Ginger Nicole Jenkins, 48, of Camden, South Carolina passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. Today is a day we mourn a wonderful human being. Today is also a day we honor, remember, and celebrate the life of Ginger Jenkins. How do we measure life? We should measure life in moments with our loved ones. If that's the case, Ginger Jenkins lived a good and prosperous life. When we think about Ginger, we should think about the special and big role she played in everybody's life. We should remember all the great things about her. She was an intense woman but in the best way possible. She was always straightforward and blunt, never sugar coating. She said what she meant. She was honest - even if it secretly made you cry. She was a vivid, compassionate and unforgettable person; she could light up any room she was in. She was proud and competitive, a master at spite and malice, which is why she hated playing with the only person who could beat her, Sally Ann Gainey - Her cooking specialty was an amazing taco bake, actually we have nothing else to compare it to because that was the only thing she could actually cook. Her favorite meal was shrimp curry and her favorite drinks were McDonald's caramel frappe and Jose Cuervo Margarita Mix - a woman of fine taste. Whenever we listen to Michael Jackson it will make us smile and cry- The day Michael Jackson died was the day music died. Ginger made sure she told God and everybody. She was a caring person towards anything in life - she would take in any dog that needed caring and bought them all clothes. One of her proudest accomplishments in life was her two kids - she loved them so much. And we can live on at ease, knowing that the legacy of Ginger Jenkins can live on through these two. We can honestly go on for hours, talking about how great she was. She may be gone physically but she will live on through every one of us - when we remember all these special moments with Ginger, when we remember all these good things about Ginger. She will always be our little girl, our best friend, our mom, our wife. Those left to celebrate and remember her life include her husband of 27 years, Rodney Jenkins of Camden, SC; parents, Sally Ann Gainey and Billy Gainey Jr. of Hartsville, SC; sons, Jacob Reid Jenkins (Sarah) of Tarzana, CA and Nicolas Lynn Jenkins of Hartsville, SC; brother, Greg Gainey of McBee, SC; niece, Briana Gainey of Myrtle Beach, SC and Melinda Hodge Davis of Hartsville, SC.
