Mr. Harry Avant, Jr., 62, of Pageland, South Carolina passed away suddenly on Friday, March 4, 2016. He was born on Wednesday, September 30, 1953 in Cambridge, MA. He was employed by Wal-Mart Distribution Center as a Maintenance Operator and he was a former Pageland Policeman for 6 years. Mr. Avant is preceded in death by his Father, Harry Avant, Mother and Sister, Susan Avant. He is survived by his Sons, Richard Avant of Billerica, MA and Andrew Avant of Chelmsford, MA. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland with Pastor James Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Baumgartner Funeral Home.
