Mr. Herman Franklin (Frog) Jacobs Jr., 69, of Pageland, SC passed away on Monday, September 23, 2019 at his home while surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Herman Franklin Jacobs Jr., was born on March 24, 1950 in Hamlet, NC to the late Herman Franklin Jacobs Sr. and Etta R. Peele Jacobs. Mr. Jacobs was a godly man who enjoyed visiting many different churches in the area. He was a tool machinist at Screwmatics and Conbraco Industries. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed playing his guitar, and loved to sing, he also enjoyed riding horses. Mr. Jacobs enjoyed fishing and traveling. He was a member of the American Legion Smith-Graves Post 92. Mr. Jacobs is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Darlene Jacobs of the home; his sons, Jason Franklin Jacobs and David Benton Baggett, both of Pageland, SC, and Phillip Matthew Ward of Wallace, SC; brothers, Eugene Jacobs (Ashley) of Florence SC, Lewis Jacobs (Laurie) of Hamlet, NC, John Jacobs of Florida and Jake Jacobs of Washington; sisters, Elaine Huckabee and Faye Shepard (David Heights) both of Hamlet, NC; brother of the heart, Barney Linton (Debbie) of Holden Beach, NC; eight grandchildren; one great granddaughter and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, 6116 Teals Mill Road, Cheraw, South Carolina with Rev. Frank Alexander and Rev. Stanley Stogner officiating the service with Military Honors to follow. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Baumgartner Funeral Home, 708 W.
