Mr. Howard Michael Martin, age 79, entered into rest on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at his home with his family by his side.

Michael Martin was an exemplary Husband, Father, Grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Judy Martin, two sons, Scott Martin, Kelly (Falan) Martin, three grandchildren, David Martin, Kathryn Martin, and Payton Oliver. He also served as a loving grandfather to Patrick and Bradley Kohler. He also leaves behind brothers, Danny (Judy) Martin, Eddie (Susan) Martin, and sister, Kathy Maye, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and the many children from the 20 years that he served as a foster parent.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Kate Martin, as well as his brother, David Martin, brother-in-law, Tim Maye and sister-in-law Teresa Martin.

Michael Martin was a shining example of a life well lived, from his early days on the family farm, to his days in Germany with the US Army, to Drag racing across the United States with his Family and Friends, his unwavering dedication to the people and things that he held dearest will continue to be an inspiration to all who knew and love him.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 17, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Marshville, NC.

There will be a Celebration of Life Funeral Service on Monday February 17, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Moriah Baptist Marshville, NC with Pastor Mel Winstead officiating. The burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland.
