Mr. Steve Mills, 69, of Pageland, SC passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022 while in Charlotte, NC. Mr. Mills was born on October 15, 1952 in Monroe, North Carolina to the late Bert Funderburk Mills and Nancy "Louise" Jordan Mills. Mr. Mills actively attended Providence Baptist Church in Pageland, SC. Steve was a quiet, simple man that was very organized. He loved sports and was a true Gamecock fan. Besides sports, he liked to play corn hole. Steve loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved to watch Corben play baseball. He is preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Louise Mills Hinson and two brothers, Bobby G. Mills and Bert Wayne Mills and brother-in-law, Alton Whitaker. Mr. Mills is survived by his son, Shawn Mills (Courtney) of Heath Springs, SC; brothers, J.T. Mills (Linda) of Tradesville, SC and Donnie Mills (Dianne) of Pageland, SC; sisters, Shirley Helms of Pageland, SC, Virginia "Pat" Whitaker of Lancaster, SC and Linda Pressley (Jerry) of Lancaster, SC; sisters-in-law, Patsy Mills of Myrtle Beach, SC and Dot Mills of Pageland, SC; grandchildren, Corben Mills and McKinley Mills and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Providence Baptist Church with Pastor David Bridwell, Dr. Roger Wall and Dr. Jason Moss officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Providence Baptist Church, 232 Providence Church Road, Pageland, SC 29728.
