Jimmy L. Cline, 83, of Pageland, SC passed away on April 15, 2026 in Pageland, South Carolina.
Born on April 24, 1942, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Jimmy lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a warm spirit that touched those who knew him. He was a man who appreciated the simple joys in life and who carried himself with a steady presence that brought comfort and strength to his loved ones. Jimmy was a proud graduate of West Mecklenburg, Class of 1957.
Jimmy was an avid baseball player and was especially known for his skill as a pitcher. Outside of baseball, he found pleasure in golf, fishing, NASCAR, and football, and he especially enjoyed spending time around a cold beverage. These interests were part of the rhythm of his life and were often shared with family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured for years to come.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Cline and Hazel Hunter Cline, his beloved wife, Dianne Cline, and his brother, Ronnie Cline.
Jimmy is survived by his loving sons, Gary Cline and his wife, Amy of Wingate, North Carolina, Bryon Cline and his wife, Jessica of Pageland, South Carolina, and Jeffery Cline and his wife, Suzy of Indian Trail, North Carolina. He also leaves behind a large and cherished family of grandchildren, including Candace McClain and her husband, Mitchell, Colby Aldridge and her husband, Andrew, David Cline and his wife, Jess, Chad Cline and his wife, Dasha, Brandon Swanger and his wife, Alexis, Megan Cline, Nicole Cline and her husband, Tim, Skyler Hayes, Hunter Cline, and Londyn Cline. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren, Mason Rice, Kash Aldridge, Emilyn Aldridge, Lennox Reid, Zoey Swanger, Carolina Swanger, Logan Cline, and Eli Cline.
Jimmy will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life was centered on family and the bonds that hold generations together. He had a way of making those around him feel valued, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
