Obituary

Mr. James Leaird, 83, of Pageland, South Carolina went to be with his Lord on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at his home. James was born in Chesterfield County, SC on March 31, 1934 to the late Jessie Leaird and Bertha Jordan Leaird. He later met and united in marriage to Donna Edwards Leaird who precedes him in death. In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by, his brothers, Thomas Leaird and Alvin Leaird, half brothers, Cyrus and Myron Leaird, sisters, Eloise Jordan and Aileen Leaird and half sister, Mozelle Tadlock. He was a photographer in the United States Army, Navy and Air Force. He was the owner of Jim Leaird and Associates. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Pageland. Those left to celebrate and remember his life include his loving sons, Tim Leaird (Rebecca) of Hamlet, NC and Steve Leaird (Gwynn) of Kershaw, SC, daughter, Annette Schlier (Woody) of Charlotte, NC and sister, Pete Brock of Pageland, SC, seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Pageland with Dr. Joel Dale officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Baumgartner Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Pageland, PO Box 126, Pageland, SC 29728.
