Mr. James Earl Smith Sr. went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 while surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Smith was born on December 20, 1936 in Knoxville. Tennessee to the late James Carl Smith and Gladys Clayton Smith. He worked for Comfy Home Furnishings for 20 years. He loved coffee, Fox News and westerns. He loved to watch John Wayne and Clint Eastwood movies. He also loved spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Carl Smith and Gladys Clayton Smith, his Wife, Juanita Smith, Son, Ricky Allen Smith, Daughter, Desira Smith and Sister, Sandra Stiles. He is survived by his Son, James Earl Smith Jr. of Pageland, South Carolina, Daughters, Debbie Smith Rollins (Dick) of Auburn, Indiana and Darlene Smith Eubanks of Pageland, South Carolina, Sister, Loretta Bailey of Tennessee, Grandchildren, Hillary Rollins of Charleston, South Carolina, Chase Rollins of Auburn, Indiana, Grant Rollins of Auburn, Indiana, Corey Eubanks of Simpsonville, South Carolina and Carley Eubanks of Pageland, South Carolina and Great Grandchildren, Lexi Eubanks of Simpsonville, South Carolina and Luke McGrath of Simpsonville, South Carolina. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on April 8, 2016 at Baumgartner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie Smith officiating. The burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park of Pageland. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on April 7, 2016 at Baumgartner Funeral Home.
