Mrs. Jamie Sharon Chambers, 42, of Wingate, NC passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 in Charlotte, NC while surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hospice. Mrs. Jamie Chambers was born on January 17, 1978 in Monroe, NC to Johnny Jenkins and Betty Dennis Jenkins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Dennis Jenkins; sister, Cindy Jenkins Blackmon; maternal great grandmother, Bernice "Maw" Dennis and niece, Thelma Michelle Jenkins. Mrs. Chambers was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church and was an assistant teacher for the Union County School District for about eight years. She had a passion for children. She was an avid Duke and Carolina Panthers fan. She enjoyed riding motorcycles. Mrs. Chambers is survived by the father of their daughter, Shawn Douglas Chambers of Wingate, NC; father, Johnny Jenkins (Martha) of Marshville, NC; daughter, Alexis Chambers of Wingate, NC; brothers, Doug Anderson (Skyla) and Dean Jenkins (LeAnn) both of Marshville, NC, numerous nephews, nieces and cousins, and best friend, Wendy Baker. Anyone can come by to pay their respects and sign the register book on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Philadelphia Baptist Church, Marshville, NC in the Family Life Center. There will be a Celebration of Life Funeral Service on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Philadelphia Baptist Church Family Life Center in Marshville, NC with Pastor Caroll Anthony officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Due to the government-mandated, COVID-19 restrictions, we ask that you practice social distancing at all times.
