Mr. Jean Francis Funderburk, 81, of Pageland, South Carolina passed away on July 21, 2016 while surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Funderburk was born on January 27, 1935 in Richland, GA to the late Frank Funderburk and Mavis Funderburk. He was a member of High Point Baptist Church. Mr. Funderburk enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting and playing the piano. He also loved wood working and his apple tree. He is preceded in death by his Son, Dan Funderburk. Jean Francis is survived by his wife, Brenda Griffin Funderburk of Pageland, Sons, Sterling Funderburk of Pageland, SC, Stewart Funderburk of Chesapeake, VA, Kevin Funderburk (Debbie) of Pageland, SC and Eric Funderburk (Nicole) of Monroe, NC, Step-Daughter, Gina Boyd of Peachland, NC, Grandchildren, Christie Lewis and Hope Funderburk, Step-Grandchild, Gail Polk and Jonathan Boyd, Six Great Grandchildren and his four legged child, Beejee. Jean Francis also served in the U.S. Army Reserve. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at High Point Baptist Church with Pastor Rodney Nicholson officiating. The burial will follow at the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at High Point Baptist Church.
