Jerry Murphy Moore, Jr., 45, of Pageland, SC passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 in Monroe, NC.

He was born on October 13, 1978 in Monroe, NC to Sylvia Prevette and the late Jerry Murphy Moore, Sr. A friend to all and stranger to none. Jerry will be remembered for his big personality and even bigger heart. He spread kindness and joy to everyone he met.

Affectionately known as "Big Poppa" by many, Jerry was a dedicated family man and an avid outdoorsman. He devoted much of his time to hard work and was deeply loyal to his job. He was also known for his contagious personality, his ability to entertain, and his deep love for his family.

Jerry cherished days and weekends spent at the lake and on the water, finding peace and joy in these moments. He was passionate about hunting, and he also had a love for travel, exploring new places with those closest to him. Jerry's love for music and concerts was a big part of his life, and he treasured the many shows he attended with his wife and friends.

Jerry is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Murphy Moore, Sr., and his step-son, Anthony Lamar.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Alanna Moore of Pageland, SC; his children, Kaylee, Jillian, Rylan, and Camden; his grandson, Zayne; his mother, Sylvia Prevette; his siblings, Adam "Junior" Haigler, Clifton Haigler, Susan Haigler, Lisa Haigler, and Debra Marshall; his mother-in-law, Diane Wallace, and many extended family members and close friends.

The family will receive friends and celebrate Jerry's life on Sunday, September 1, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Baumgartner Funeral Home in Pageland, SC.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will remain a guiding light of love in our lives.
