Jerry Clayton Sherrin, 77, passed away July 18, 2026. He was born October 2, 1948 to the late Clayton and Ruby Sherrin. Mr. Sherrin grew up in the Mt. Pisgah Community near the North and South Carolina Line. He was devoted to his family and cherished the time he spent with each member. He had a compassionate heart and generously helped those who were in need. His favorite hobby was riding his golf cart. Jerry will be missed and cherished in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in passing by his brother, Michael Sherrin, and three sisters, Maxine Sherrin, Brenda Laney, and Patsy Langley.

Jerry is survived by his son, Clayton Sherrin, daughter, Charlotte Moore, significant other, Betty Boling, grandchildren, Ryan Moore, Shayna Miller, Jordan Miller, Victoria Sherrin, Bentley Sherrin, Star Rachel Sherrin, and Bryce Sherrin.
