Mrs. JoAnn Jenke Nicholson., 76, of Pageland, SC passed away on Friday, March 19 2021 in Charlotte, NC. She was born on August 28, 1944 in Pageland, SC to the late Howard Jenke and Lucille Mills Jenke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny L. Nicholson, three brothers and one sister. Mrs. Nicholson was a member of Providence Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and traveling with the senior citizens. She and her late husband, owned J&J Grocery in Pageland. JoAnn enjoyed spending time with her family and took pride in keeping a pretty yard. JoAnn enjoyed fishing and doing jigsaw puzzles. Mrs. Nicholson is survived by her son, Michael Nicholson (Tammy) of Pageland, SC; daughters, Donna Hicks (Tim) of Pageland, SC and Cindy Davis (Bud) of Jefferson, SC; grandchildren, Brad Hicks (Tiffany), Garrett Hicks (Brandi), Lindsey Arant (Steven), Lauren Davis, Caitlyn Nicholson, Aleah Nicholson and Daniel Nicholson and great grandchildren, Madison Gainey, Brendon Gainey and Jack Arant. Due to COVID 19, the family asks that everyone that attends the service to please wear a mask and keep in mind social distancing rules. Anyone can come by Baumgartner Funeral Home on Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM to sign the register book and pay their respects. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, with Dr. Roger Wall, and Dr. Lindsey Powell officiating. Burial will follow in the Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Providence Baptist Church, 232 Providence Church Road, Pageland, SC 29728.
