Joe Douglas Smith, 70, of Jefferson, SC passed away on October 23, 2025. Joe was born on August 27, 1955 in South Charleston, West Virginia to the late Richard "Junior" Smith Jr. and Marienia Jean Lock Smith.

Joe grew up in the rolling hills of West Virginia, where his love for the great outdoors took root. He carried this passion throughout his life, finding solace in the tranquility of nature. An avid sportsman, Joe was often found with a fishing rod in hand or planning his next hunting trip.

After moving to South Carolina, Joe's love for adventure continued to flourish. He was a man who cherished the simple joys of life, whether it was watching his favorite TV shows or enjoying a meal out on the town.

He is survived by his sisters, Diana Barrett (Jerry) of Jefferson, SC, and Joyce Buell of Ladson, SC and brother, Alvin Smith of Goose Creek, SC.
