Mr. Joel Hicks,72, of Pageland, South Carolina passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 in Marshville, North Carolina. Joel Hicks was born on August 12, 1948 in Monroe, NC to the late Uriah Amos Hicks and Agnes Funderburk Hicks. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Uriah Franklin Hicks, Billy Hicks and Norman Hicks; and sister, Josephine Moore. Joel Hicks enjoyed visiting different churches of Christian Faith in the area and read his bible daily. When he was younger he was a body builder. Mr. Hicks is survived by his son, Brian Hicks (Karis) of Pageland, SC; sister, Tamara Rhodes (Don) of Marshville, NC; grandchildren, Landon and Lawson Hicks. Due to Covid 19 the family will not be holding a Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to hospice of one's choice.
