John "Rock" Peecher passed away very peacefully in his Summerton, SC home on December 9, 2021. He was formerly of Monroe, NC.
Mr. Peecher was born on October 21, 1951 in Columbus, OH to the late Harold and Carolyn Louks Peecher, where he was raised and graduated from high school. He was a Professional Repossession Agent and the owner of Dixie Auto Recovery of Georgia and North Carolina. He was a lifetime member of The Moose Lodge of America. Mr. Peecher was a longtime supporter of the Outlaws and Black Pistons MC and the National Founder of the Dixie Sons Brotherhood (DSB). He never knew a stranger that had friends worldwide and often helped others with anything they may have needed. To know him is to love him. He really was a big old teddy bear. John loved riding his motorcycle and spending time with his friends. He was a lover of music and could often be found listening to music and reading current event articles. Every chance he had to go, he enjoyed golfing and fishing. He loved nothing more than catching a big Catfish at Santee.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Denise "Dixie" Peecher, and his loving children; son, Johnny Peecher (Brittany) and numerous grandchildren of Ohio; daughter, Tara (Greg) Moore and grandchildren, Chase Moore, Haylee Moore, Shannon (Dallas) Moore; great granddaughter, Alaska Emerson of Monroe, NC; stepson, Jamie Stallings and family of Santee, SC; his loving sister, Mary Jane Peecher-Martinez; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Baumgartner Funeral Home, PO Box 249, Pageland, SC 29728 for burial of his cremains at a later date.
A family directed Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 1:00 PM at 1391 Enlow Ct., Summerton, SC 29148. The family will provide BBQ and sides. Please bring your own chairs, coolers, and memories. We are planning on having an open microphone for everyone to share kind words and memories. We will have a fire at dark and camping is available.
