Obituary

Julia Cato Robertson, 72, of Pageland, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at her home. Julia was born on April 27, 1946 in Monroe, North Carolina to the late Carroll Bruce Cato and Blythe Pigg Cato. She married Robbie Lemuel Robertson on November 24, 1966. Julia graduated from Winthrop College and worked as a teacher in the Chesterfield County School District for 28 years. In 1999, Julia and Robbie built Springhill Assisted Living in Pageland and served as co-owners and operators until they retired in 2014. Julia enjoyed spending time in the mountains and following her grandsons' sporting and theater events. In addition to her parents, Julia is preceded in death by her son, Brian Robertson. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Zion United Methodist Church with Pastor Jerry McManus and Pastor Mack Mullis officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 P.M. in Zion Hall at Zion United Methodist Church, 647 Zion Church Road, Pageland, South Carolina 29728. Julia is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robbie Lemuel Robertson of Pageland, South Carolina; daughters, Mary Blythe Chipman (Chris) of Monroe, North Carolina and Sarah Deason (Jeff) of Rock Hill, South Carolina; son, Lem Robertson (Brittany) of Jefferson, South Carolina; grandchildren, Caleb and Adam Chipman and Asher Robertson, and, sister, Elizabeth Cato Shrum (Sid). Memorials may be made to Chesterfield County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs, P. O. Box 151, Chesterfield, South Carolina 29709. Arrangements are with Baumgartner Funeral Home of Pageland, South Carolina.
