Mr. Kay Franklin "Bud" Holley, 83, of Jefferson, SC went to be with his Lord on Friday, December 30, 2022. Mr. Holley was born on August 11, 1939 in Jefferson to the late Kay and Novella Holley. He was a member of White Plains Baptist Church, where he was a past deacon, Sunday school teacher, and choir director. Mr. Holley served our country through the National Guard Unit in Jefferson. He worked for International Paper (Formerly Kendall) in Bethune for approximately 30 years. He loved Gamecock football and basketball. He enjoyed playing his guitar and listening to gospel hymns. He also enjoyed spending time on his family's farm and working in his yard. He was married to the love of his life, Bemice Sue, for 44 years. He is preceded in death by his infant brother and brother, James "Jimmy" Holley. Mr. Holley is survived by his wife, Bemice Sue Horton Holley of Jefferson; brother, Gerald D. Holley (Darby) of Florence; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Johnny Sims and Pastor David Sanders officiating. The family will greet friends following the Graveside Service.
