Kenneth William Miles, 60, of Pageland, SC passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024, in Hartsville, South Carolina. He was born on December 30, 1963 in Rock Hill, South Carolina to Rachel Miles Staples.

His mother, Rachel Staples of Pageland, SC, instilled in him the values of kindness and compassion, which he carried throughout his life. Kenneth's journey led him to find companionship and love with Kim Wert of Pageland, SC, with whom he shared many of life's adventures.

Kenneth had a passion for drag racing, an activity that combined his love for speed and mechanics. His love for music was evident to all who knew him. Kenneth's adventurous soul was also reflected in his love of travel, exploring new places, and creating memories that would last a lifetime.

He is survived by his companion, Kim Wert of Pageland, SC; stepson, Jason Adams (Ashley) of Pageland, SC; stepbrother, John Staples Jr. (Ellen) of Matthews, NC; stepsisters, Pat Hines (Ricky) of Monroe, NC and Pam Staples and aunt, Mary Sullivan of Rock Hill, SC.

He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Lee and Mary Miles; step father, John William Staples and uncles, Bill Sullivan and Leavy Chapman Miles, Jr.

Kenneth's love for animals was another testament to his gentle and caring personality. His pets were not just companions but members of his family, receiving the same love and attention he gave to his human relatives.

There will be a Celebration of Life Graveside Service on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Pageland Cemetery with Dr. Joel Dale officiating.
