Linda Sikes Rorie, 75, resident of 101 Cumberland Ct., widow of Charles Preston Rorie, passed away April 16, 2018, at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born August 8, 1942, in Pageland, she was the daughter of the late Eddie Lee and Mildred Maples Sikes. She was a 1960 graduate of Pageland High School and attended Northwestern Technical College. Mrs. Rorie retired from Challenger and then worked in the healthcare industry as a CNA until moving to Greenwood in 2014.
A member of First Presbyterian Church of Pageland she was a former teacher of the Joy Special Needs Sunday School Class of the church and after moving to Ninety Six she attended Siloam Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class of the church.
Surviving is a daughter, Lelia Rorie Smith and husband Rodney of Ninety Six; two grandsons, Rory Smith of Suzhou, China and Graham Smith of Ninety Six.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday at the First Presbyterian Church of Pageland with Rev. Dick Tubbs and Rev. Phillip Howle officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Pageland.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, along with Doug Rorie, David Rorie, Will Meredith, Norris Sneed, Calvin Hancock and Tony Griffin.
The family is at the home of MaryAnne Smith, 401 Johnston Road, Ninety Six, and will receive friends at Blyth Funeral Home from 6 to 8 Thursday evening and from 1 to 2 pm Friday at the church.
