Mr. Lloyd Franklin Melton, 81, of Patrick, SC passed away on June 18, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Melton was born on September 25, 1940 to the late Sherrill L. Ingold and Annie Melton in Rockingham, NC. He is preceded in death by brothers, Roy Melton, Edgar "Ed" Melton and Steve Melton. Mr. Melton served in the US Army and was a retired truck driver after 43 years. He liked to watch NASCAR and was an avid Alabama football fan. He loved to be around his friends and enjoyed dancing and fishing. Mr. Melton is survived by his wife, Margaret Melton of Patrick, SC; daughter, Angie Bragg (James) of Pageland, SC; half-brother, Todd Melton of NC; sister, Sarah Johnson of NC; grandsons, Tyler Bragg (Becky) of Cheraw, SC and Elijah Bragg of Pageland, SC; great granddaughter, Chloe Bragg of Cheraw, SC, many nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Betty Melton of Mineral Springs, NC. The family will hold a Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at 3:00 PM at their home in Patrick, SC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
